Who should attend?
This seminar is intended for construction managers, superintendents, supervisors, and other professionals involved in planning, executing, and monitoring and controlling projects. Basic understanding of typical contract clauses is encouraged but is not required.
This one day seminar explains different procurement strategies, contract types, and project delivery systems applicable to construction projects. Key differences between traditional and advanced project delivery systems are discussed. Examples and templates of standard contract documents, such as the standard subcontract agreement CCA1, stipulated price contract CCD2, and construction management CCDC 5 are illustrated. Different procurement strategies to select subcontractors, such as best value, lowest price, and qualification based are demonstrated with examples. The advantages and disadvantages of each type of contract are highlighted using real project cases based on five major construction project KPI’s (cost, time, quality, safety, and client satisfaction).
