Supervisor Training Description 2
Nine Gold Seal Points are assigned to this course.
This workshop may be customized to meet the individual needs of an organization. It is helpful for the instructor to meet with management prior to the workshop to discuss any relevant topics they may wish addressed. We recommend breaking the course into two segments to allow supervisors to go back and observe or implement some of what differences the workshop can make within their crews. This often brings to mind specific questions for class discussion. The more individualized we can make the workshop, the better the success. Included is a ½ day meeting with participants two or three months after completion to examine results and make recommendations if required.
Front-line supervisors are responsible for not only the performance of employees; but for almost all production activities. Yet, often these employees are thrust into their jobs with little preparation. Most supervisors bring what they have learned on the job from the untrained supervisor that came before them. They are skilled at what they do, but lack the management skills to support the people who do the work.
The emphasis of this course is leadership and effective communication with management, fellow supervisors, and most importantly their crews.
This is a blended course with an online component.
