Reviews for Introduction to Psychological Health in the Workplace
Instructor: Dr. Elisabeth Scheepers
Fall of 2017
Of those who participated in the class all but two rated the course as excellent, the others rated it as very good.
Favorite part (s) of the course:
All enjoyed the interactive discussion, the discussion on symptoms and how to recognize them, the easy going personality of the presenter, explanation of cognitive base for issues.
The role play and the ways to see signs, information on treating the issue not just the symptoms, exchange of information, hearing how others are handling mental health issues at their work, identifying different problems, the importance of confidentiality and boundaries, discussions on actual peer conversations.
The only comment was it was too short, felt the course could be extended to one day and perhaps the use of videos.
Would you recommend the course to others:
All would recommend the course to others, one thought some statistics to help people understand how wide spread this issue is.
This was a good introduction to the mental health issues and the key symptoms were highly relatable.
The course was very well, keep up the good work.
Thank you for passionate approach to the topic. You normalized it and gave good action plans. More people should have this information.
