Front-line supervisors are responsible for not only the performance of employees, but for almost all production activities. Most supervisors bring what they have learned on the job from the untrained supervisor that came before them. They are skilled at what they do but they lack the management skills to support the people who do the work. The emphasis of this course is leadership and effective communication with management, fellow supervisors, and most importantly their crews.
The goal of this workshop is to build a culture within the workplace to support effective leadership. The secret to good leadership is being able to bring out the best in others. It is the ability to make people feel valued and respected; to make them feel what they do is important. This workshop explores what we all bring to the workplace personally, how it affects behavior, influences our leadership style and the people we lead. It explores what kind of impressions we are leaving with people through our communication skills both verbal and non-verbal. Discover the common communication thread on which to build an engaged and accountable workforce.
